i'll add another story...my co-worker's brother (who's in his late 20s) went through this a year ago and he is TOTALLY fine now. There was some adjustment time after the pocedures and while getting the thyroid med levels right, but he's now back to working full time and living life. I hope all goes as well for your sister.

My prayers are with you and your sister. As long as she is getting the newest and best treatment there is every reason to be optimistic.Just make sure she is getting the gold standard of care.

My Sister had the same thing and it was cured pretty fast. I'd be forward thinking about this, remember, tyroid cancer is one of the cancers that seems easier for doctors to deal with. But I will give you my love and prayers.

It's so terrible when this happens to people. Will think of her.

Back in '04, my mother went into the doctor for a simple check up and they found she had an extremely agressive form of breast cancer in it's very early stages. They caught it and took care of it before it could become fatal, but appearently had this been discovered even a month later, it would've been too late.

It can still be a very frightening thing to deal with even if you know things are going to be alright. You have my best wishes.

Your sister is in the best hands to deal with this very beatable cancer. Her age together with this cancer type give her very, very good chances indeed. Modern medicine in these areas has come on in leaps over the last few years. Talk to and listen to your friends, know yourself that things will be fine and be strong for your sister.

Hey sweetie, it is always a scary thing hearing the words 'you have cancer' It is the nicest kind of cancer to have if you can class any cancer as nice.

My partner had cancer and after surgery and chemo is now fine. It has made him view life with more importance, so good things can come out of bad situations.
