We're trying like crazy to sell our house and haven't closed on a deal yet (but have come close a few times). The house is nice and is underpriced by a few thousand bucks - should be a sure thing, right?

I'm wondering, have any of you tried the old "bury a statue of St Joseph in the yard" trick? It's supposed to make the property sell in a big hurry.
