Itunes Makes My Mouse Cursor Disappear It doesn't happen from just playing music files in Itunes--it only happens when I import cds. Everything is fine at first but after a few minutes, my mouse cursor gets stuck on the screen.
This next part is hard to explain: my mouse basically turns into a ghost. What I mean, is that if I could actually see where my mouse cursor is, everything would be OK. But it's location is hidden from me. I can move the cursor over the windows and icons and click things but I can't actually see the cursor. I only know where it is after I click something and see it highlighted. I can still use the Tab button to close out the programs and shut down, but I can't get a regularly functioning mouse until I've rebooted. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Itunes a couple of times already. I started having this problem a couple of months ago. Since then, I've googled it and searched on the Apple page and I can't find anything that addresses this problem. Any ideas from the more advanced techies?

Hm, I've been using iTunes since version 4 on both Mac and Windows, and have never experienced what you have described (sounds like you are on windows?). Is this a new behaviour? If so, do you remember the last thing you installed (software or hardware) before this started? -->> This Space 4 Rent <<--

the only problem i've had with the new itunes on windows is that the quicktime that comes with it messes it up royally causing it to shut down from time to time... :shurg:
to me it sounds like your pc is just taking it's time with the stuff you're importing... it's happened once with me, just let it do its thing...like put the cd in, import and go do something else while it's importing my pc's worn me down so much i just let it take its time nowadays

My computer is a pretty new Alienware 3.4 and I don't have any other problems with it.

Overclocking always runs the risk of very strange, inexplicable behaviours (I used to do it myself). However, SammiJ brings up a point, did you also upgrade Quicktime? -->> This Space 4 Rent <<--

Yeah, my quicktime has been upgraded. Although when I uninstalled Itunes and re-installed it, I noticed that it remembered my settings(mp3 bitrates, etc.). And I rebooted between tasks. So, there must be some files that weren't deleted. I don't think my computer is overclocked--when I run diagnostics on it, the processor speed is what it's supposed to be. I read Maximum PC once in awhile, but I don't understand everything in it, so I very likely could be wrong.
