The movie was alright.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

I loved the movie and the book. The book is richer and gives you a more fleshed out plot, naturally.

Wow...me too! I was born in Savannah at Chatham County Hospital....
I prefer the book. This is a true story, and believe it or not Savannah is that quirky - just like me! The book follows the story clearly - unlike some who embellish the truth or the sotry is 'based on the truth'.
Lady Chablis is awesome. The last time I saw her, Charlie Brown from Atlanta was also there - he is a lot of fun too, but not very 'pretty'!.
If some of you have never been to Savannah, go there for the history, and take extra time to absorb the culture - well worth your time. thumbs up!

Yes I love Savannah, don't forget the food!! I don't like Charlie Brown at all- he isn't "pretty" on the inside either! I'm from Columbus by the way.

I'm not sure where she lives today. I met her in Atlanta after the movie fame, but Drew has known her since the late 70s.

Cool film. I'm going to have to check out the book.

I used to work in an office where the secretary looked, sounded and acted just like the Lady Chablis. omfg
