24 - Last Night - 3.13.06 - Might Contain Spoilers!

SO, I'm thinking given everything up to now...is this the last season of 24? All the roads are pointing in that direction. I think it's time Jack got some rest. And Kim was right, everyone around him dies. A few points of discussion..

WHat is that thing on C Thomas Howells Face? And what exactly is he doing on this series?

Sean Astin FINALLY showed some acting abilities. A little too late.

Edgar...aside from Terry, was the saddest death they've had so far. Loved the no ticks at the end of last week.

Why didn't Tony just shoot the guy?

Jack can get to the other side of LA in 5 min, yet a whole team can't get to CTU in an Hour?

LOVE Ray Wise. Anyone? Anyone?

You know I didn't cry. Strange, as I have been with that character for 5 seasons. I was hoping he'd shoot earlier. Tony is that kind of guy. I also noticed that we got the beeps this week at the end unlike last week. Maybe if they had had him involved more...like maybe if he wasn't part of the explosion and was hell bent on getting justice...he might have had a better plot line.

I was nowhere near as affected this week as last. That said, it was still a good ep. It'll be even better if it really was the end of the Kim party.

Let's see...C Thomas Howell did NOT grow up well.

WHY'D they have to show us Edgar dead on the floor?

That was so not Jack to stop and hold Tony instead of running off to find crazy dude.

Jean Smart still rocks it.

YAY FASCIST LELAND PALMER!!!! woot!

nice little appearance by elisha "nobody tell her she's not a big enough star to quit needing this show" cuthbearght. think she'll be back for more this season, or was that her obligatory appearance?

the whole tony gun/syringe thing was cheesy.

sean astin's death scene was really really disturbing to me. that whole sense of helplessness and inevitability and thinking for a split second that everything was okay was just...ugh...really really scary.

chloe: "fine, i'll do it, if everyone will just relax!" figures it would take an opportunity for her to snap at people to bring her out of shock. lol

also: am i the only one who notices that jean smart has at LEAST one new outfit every episode? that means by the end of this season, she will have changed clothes at least 24 times in one day.

He does. But now...all of his movies will be overshadowed by 24. He'll be forever JACK.

If Jack lets Curtis die, I'm never watching 24 again. Ever since he punched the terrorist chick in the face last season, he's become my second favorite character...

That was AWFUL. I was like, "you emotionally manipulative fuckers." mad

It was interesting how they let Lynn go out. His character seemed to be walking a line between being a competent jerk and an insecure middlemanager puss. . .kind of nice that they let him go out as a hero. It worked.

Yeah, especially if they let Curtis get killed, I'm guessing they're ending the show with this season. Jack needs to retire.

It wouldn't be a bad thing. I too think it's time to wrap it up. I mean how many times can LA be under siege?

that, or it will end up with him as a celebrated hero, and next year's season will be about another city under siege, and he'll have to deal with all new surroundings and a new supporting cast of neurotics.

hmmm

Yeah, seeing the series move to DC or something would actually be interesting.
