Drink green beer for Hasslehoff!

I may have a beer, but it probably won't be green. I have some food coloring in the kitchen somewhere, though....

I heard that if you drink enough green beer your poopies will turn green too.

Where I work, we had a St. Paddy's Day party this past Wednesday, instead of today, because four people in my department are off today. Shoot, I'm part Irish, I should be off celebrating St. Paddy's Day too, but here I am, stuck at work.

Why does my night have to be ruined by this stupid holiday? All people ever want to do is go out and get plastered.

Maybe I'm just an old lady who doesn't know how to have fun, but dammit! Getting wasted isn't worth the hangover! It's not that much fun, and it ruins the better part of the next day. I don't GET it. If people want to go out and get intoxicated, they could at least choose a better drug.

But, evils of alcohol aside, why is intoxication the only way that most people know to have fun? Don't get me wrong. I drink a little bit and don't dislike the buzz. I'm a fan of rx narcotics. I love to roll with the raver kiddies once in a while. It's all good. But that's not the ONLY way to have fun.

There are several interesting things happening in Seattle tonight that don't involve directly tinkering with brain chemistry. And if people desperately wanted to do something related to this stupid holiday (whatsitaboutagain?), I would imagine there is some good Irish music/dance action happening in every medium-to-large city in this gawddamned country tonight.

So WHY IS EVERYBODY JUST GOING OUT TO GET EXTRA-SUPER DRUNK!

Fuck it. I'm going to go out and do something that is actually fun all by myself.

I agree with u, Seattle. I have never had to get drunk to have a good time. Ive always thought that was really sad. Me always being the sober one made it even more sad because Ive had to watch how awful people look and behave when they are plastered. Why cant people just have a drink or two and stop? Ive never understood why people have to drink so much that they arent in control of themselves. Maybe I should just thank God that this isnt one of the demons that I have to wrestle with in my life.

Welllll I got intoxicated and I had a ball. And yep, I was hungover on Sunday but it didn't matter because I got to lay in bed and cuddle all day. I'll take that and a hangover over a parade any day...
