28 years... wow... that's ten years of adulthood (legally, anyway... I moved out at 17). It's been quite a ride. I've had good experiences and bad ones, but I learned from them all, and I'm definitely happier with Matt 2006 than Matt 1996.

As for what the next ten years holds, well, I'll just have to continue the ride. I'm sure that, no matter what, it'll be interesting.

Unfortunately, this is the first birthday of my life that I'm spending alone. I was hoping to fly to Indianapolis for the weekend, but something must be happening there, because I would have had to pay about $600-$1,000 for a ticket that normally costs me $220 or less.

But I'm still in a good mood... reflecting about the past ten years, drinking my beloved Mexican Coca-Cola and Pepsi, and taking happy-birthday calls from friends and family. (If anyone wants the number, orgNote me. )

And although it has nothing to do with my birthday, tomorrow night I'm going to high-school themed "come as you were" party. So I'm going to bring out my varsity letter jacket, see if I can find my Woodstock '94 T-shirt, etc.
