You go to RottenTomatoes and the movies have the lowest ratings I have seen in years.
Shit like the Shaggy Dog and the fucking Pink Panther. Remakes, when we need fresh ideas. Then they have the gall to be mad at Spielberg for Munich. At least that movie was great. Movie culture is like mtv, fast, spiritless and trivial. All you others say Hell Yea!!

I remember that! I wanted to get a copy of Purple Rain when the video store finally got a copy in, and they wanted ninety-something dollars for the damn thing! I was shocked! I think the first NEW movie I bought on VHS that was released a few months after its theatrical release and was reasonably priced was "Batman" back in '89.

Nothing like seeing it on the big screen in a theater
If people are that annoying just be smart about it: avoid opening weekend, embrace the matinee & don't go in that bitch hungry I'll never stop going to the theater

I only go to the movies about once a year. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

I'm going to just make my own theater in my basement. I have an 10 foot by 23 foot room that's patiently waiting for me to finish it off.
Gotta get my office finished first, though.

I love going to see movies on the big screen with an audience. Especially when it's a great movie and everyone is enjoying it. It's not the same watching it at home on the small screen.

I think that back in the 1980s, newly-released VHS tapes of major movies were priced high with the intention that video rental stores, and not individual consumers, would be the target market. I don't pay for cable. While I theoretically own a TV, I only use it as an external monitor for my laptop, and I bittorrent the very few shows that I ever care to watch. Fuck commercials.
