I like to buy one of those "Big Gulp" type of plastic cups. I then leave it next to the fridge and, at best, drink water from it every time I pass by the cup. Hydration is such an importaint thing.

All I drink is tea in the mornings and water all day long. I never count how many glasses, though.

You know, I've heard these statistics that people are chronically dehydrated, we should be drinking water constantly, by the time you're thirsty you're already terribly dehydrated, and so on and so forth. Hydration IS crucial to the human body-- so crucial that our bodies have evolved to do a great job of helping us stay properly hydrated. Thirst is a big part of that, obviously. What we did not evolve to do is park our asses all day by the edge of a stream, drinking constantly. I'm doubtful about the huge health benefits of doing this. Not that I think it's likely to HURT anything. I just don't think it's such a big deal.

That said, I just finished a glass of water. 'Cause I was thirsty. I probably drink about 2-3 liters of fluid per day, in the form of water, soymilk, tea, and coffee, mostly (I know caffeinated beverages are diuretics, but there is still a net fluid gain from drinking them).

And I can't stand tap water. I'm a water snob.

I tend to agree with you as far as health benefits go. But I think there are, dare I say, beauty benefits as well. I think proper hydration is mega important to healthy, happy skin.

I have always tryed to keep up my water table. My wife too. We are both "very young looking for our age" as discribed by others, and I can't help to wonder if it isn't alot to do with hydration. I am sure it has something to do with a loving trusting relationship, sex on tap, and healthy living style too. biggrin

I've heard that, but I've never heard any explanation for WHY. I mean, sure, serious medical dehydration is going to affect everything, including skin. But why should being at maximum hydration vs normal hydration improve the appearance of the skin? confuse

I suppose I don't know. lol
Maybe cause proper moisturization enhances the appearance, prevents premature aging, etc. I would think this comes as much from internal as well as external factors.

Me too. I know I look better for the day. And yet, I would think there are long term effects as well.

Not really, no. I'd assume it's a tea flavoured like licorice? confuse
