The Deal Breaker

What's the deal breaker for you when it comes to relationships and friendships?

For me it would have to be disloyalty, dishonesty, and unreliability. There was this guy who wanted to date me but on our first date he was so hung over that he overslept and we never met up. He called like four hours later to apologize. I just figured I was done with him but for whatever reason he kept on sweating me for months afterwards and didn't get the picture when i didn;t return his calls. But he's unreliable and that's a deal breaker.

Some of my colleagues will say the most horrible things behind someone's back and then be super nice and sweet to them to that person's face. To me, that's being dishonest and disloyal and that's a deal breaker. I know that i can never be close to these people because of that.

whenever i encounter these traits a switch goes off and everything changes.

hmmm

Unreliability pisses me off. And on a first date, that's a no-no.
But I have friends who are fabulous in all other aspects, and I just know I can expect them to be late, or if I make plans with them to re-confirm, etc.

In general, I'm a pretty accepting person. Not that I'll put up with a lot of crap, but if you've proven yourself to me I'm not gonna get too bothered over the little things. You do have to prove yourself first, though.

i don't mind friends who are late as much as friends who aren't there for you when you need them to be.

Very true.

But even then, I think I keep those people on a certain level of friendship. I just wouldn't ever 'need' them. For me, it's all about managing my expectations of people.
Of course, I've also been blessed with some pretty amazing friends.

for a relationship: cheating and lying...if they cheat they're gone and that's IT.

for friendships: lying, scheming, gossiping, spreading rumours
stuff that would make it obvious for me to end a friendship.

yeah, uncontrollable sacry tempers are no good. everyone gets mad but there's a way to deal with it that doesn't alienate and scare people.

Lies about anything, lack of integrity as a whole, lack of a sense of humor, hypocritical actions, people who run their mouth more than they actually do anything, users, negative energy drainers, racists/bigots and Nazi's (not necessarily in that order)

Intimidated by beautiful breasts? falloff
Not going down? falloff

I have heard of a guy who wouldn't kiss his woman on the mouth, just on her body. That WAS the weakest thing I had ever heard until tonight. lol
