A great state Carrie (says I like a true Brit ). Great weather, great sunsets, awsome hikes.
The AZ orgers I know have already been mentioned, they are all in Phoenix as far as i know. Just get a group of you to go for a little hike in the morning, grab some lunch somewhere outside, lots of drinks, sit out in the sunshine, and watch the rest of the day go by - I can't imagine a better way to spend a day. I miss the Southwest Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

Suspecting the worst, I'd stomp where I'd seen movement. Turn on another light and peer down at the spot. Light-brown critter, unlike any bug I'd seen in my then-twentysomething years: definitely spider-related. Participants in the Tuscon fellowship I was in, the year before, had had to pound their linen before going to bed -- to scare out any hidden scorpions. Arizona critters. The one thing that keeps me from living there for good. I'll spare you my tarantula, bat and rattler stories. You're totally scaring me now! I have a serious spider/creepy crawly bug phobia! Here's hoping my hotel is a super nice one that kills all the bugs. |

I too spent a summer in Arizona, near Tempe actually. What a killer summer. Killer heat, actually. But very lovely. Wish I could've stayed when the weather finally got nice, the first week of October.
You'll curse at the steel bumpers on the freeways, by the way. Until Monsoon season starts. Then you'll praise God for whoever invented those blessed things that keep you on the road.

Are you sure you don't need to be with your family for easter morning, though? I offered to do this cause my building is gonna be completely closed on easter and our branch in Tempe is gonna be open and they needed someone with more expertise to handle some of the crazy holiday stuff, so I'll actually be working on easter sunday. I suppose you could leave Saturday evening and still be home for church and such... Think about it. I don't want you to miss an important holiday... |
