and given the emotional investment made in the last couple of minutes, is it safe to say that tony bought the farm and he's rockin' that righteous soul patch of his up in the heavens? if so, why did they bother to keep him alive in the first few episodes? why not just off him with michelle? that's weird.

I have my doubts, but I could see 24 go on for another season, but why oh why are they killing off the main party 1 by 1? Seems the only constant this season is Jack and Chloe.

I still wish former President Palmer was still alive. Mr. Haysbert was the shit on 24. Now he's off doing another mid-season gig on CBS.

Oh, watch Edgar is still alive, barely, and they use his blood as an antigen or something in the next few episodes. Edgar saves the day! I can dream can't I? Maybe it's time to go back to The Sopranos?

I have to disagree...the killing off of Terry established that the show could take risks like that and that they weren't tied to keeping it all Happy Happy. Of course the show never came back to that point of edginess, which was gone for the most part mid season 1. If you had seen the alt ending, you'd retch.

I didn't read the original post, as I just got into this show and don't want to find out more than I should. My husband and I have been obsessively renting the DVDs. We finished the first season (loved it!) and are 2/3 through the second season (love it even more!)

My question for all you "24" fans is this - what, in your opinion, has been the best and worst season of "24"?

Worst - Season 4 (except for the Mom and Son subplot)

I rank them in order..3 & 2 are interchangable but I liked how 3 ended as opposed to 2, which ended on a weird cliffhanger that never got resolved.

i don't think the fact that they killed terry off was wishy-washy. i agree with you. what i thought was wishy-washy was the way they killed her off. it felt like they were keeping it open for terry to maybe not be dead after all. same with the end of last week's episode. until them bitches are in the ground, they can come back next week for a "shocker you won't want to miss".
