I haven't gotten to travel for work in a long time, so I'm excited. It will also be nice to get out of the dreary Minnesota weather for a long weekend.

Are there any Arizona orgers? Any tips on what I should do while there? I'll be in the Tempe area.

If it were only two weeks earlier you could go see some Cactus League games. I've always wanted to go AZ and see the Brewers and also the Grand Canyon (which I've heard is best in the winter/early spring before the tourists and heat arrives).

The last time I was in Vegas me and Amy walked to Arizona briefly on the Hoover Dam but that's as close as I have gotten.

I spent a VERY happy summer in Tuscon, Carrie. That state is beautiful, absolutely gorgeous. Loved the sunsets.


Just beware the critters, OK? Especially the translucent bugs.

Turn on another light and peer down at the spot. Light-brown critter, unlike any bug I'd seen in my then-twentysomething years: definitely spider-related. Participants in the Tuscon fellowship I was in, the year before, had had to pound their linen before going to bed -- to scare out any hidden scorpions.

Arizona critters. The one thing that keeps me from living there for good.
