Doesn't anyone think of how that's going to look on them when they are old? Or even middle aged? You are ruining your body and skin.

I'm 45, I have ten tattoos, and I plan on getting more. smile

Life's too short to worry about stuff like that. Some people get tattoos for very personal reasons, something significant that happened in their lives, in which case it's meant to be with them forever, not something they regret. Besides, skin gets nasty old and saggy on its own, with or without a tattoo on on it.

I totally agree Tom! I don't care how my skin will look by then...when I'm 80, all the people at the 'old folks' home will be having a tattoo or two wink lol

It took me years to finally get one.. my second one has a totally different meaning for me and they are both very dear to me!

And with reference to the getting old comment, yeah life IS too short! What if you dont get old? What if you die tommorrow?! Its not morbid, its just saying that you have to live life to the full.

I have one tattoo. There are times I wish I had never gotten it, but I was young and foolish. If I had to do it over again, I would not get any tattoos.

I don't think I'll ever have one, even if I thought about the Prince symbol
and a phoenix

But i'm sure I'll never do that to my skin.

I was already thinking about getting a phoenix as my next tattoo. I moved to phoenix and my life/world is like the phoenix, so it might make a nice statement.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

It's not that I don't like the tattoo. It's a blue bird which symbolizes freedom and it's in a location that allows me to cover it most of the time. As I get older, I wish now that I had've given it more thought before I got it. Having said that, I'm damn glad I didn't get that Prince symbol 10 years ago wink
