It was really really bad this morning because it was still snowing hard but at this point it hasn't been snowing for 3 or 4 hours and the main roads are pretty clear. It will still suck but much better then this morning. I work nights so I was driving home during the morning rush and I made it all the way home finally and then got stuck in a drift in my own parking lot. Sucked ass.

I had 6 inches of snow in my driveway with another foot and a half at the end of it after the plow went by. I ended up clearing the whole thing in time to get to work.

For once the Twin Cities is getting the worst of a storm. For the last couple of years they have just been clipping us and burying other areas. Some places in the metro have been reporting 15 inches.

It will still suck but much better then this morning. yeah, i'm thinking that it'll be better tonight too. i just took one look outside when i woke up and was like "fuck it". i walk to work everyday, but i didn't wanna run the risk of being out there with the blowing snow and screwy traffic. I work nights so I was driving home during the morning rush and I made it all the way home finally and then got stuck in a drift in my own parking lot. Sucked ass.
ugg...this morning there were a couple of cars stuck in the parking lot that's next door to my apartment building. i think the lot's plowed now, but earlier it was still all snowed in.

shoveling and cleaning off the car when uber-hungover is not fun. Thank god there are 3 of us, but it still took about 45 minutes to get it all done. That being said, it looks SOOO beautiful outside!

I did a bunch of shoveling on my own, but he actually finished it. It was a pleasant surprise. |

i e-mailed in (my phone's off) to work and told my boss that i wouldn't be able to make it in today because of the weather. hopefully this stupid storm won't be going on all day because i need to go grocery shopping anyway. any of you other mpls kitties staying home today? My favorite part of the storm the other day was wiping off only the front windshield of my car, the rest of it caked in like 6 inches of snow, and driving it like that into the parking spot in the back of my house (If I kept it in the front, it would probably have gotten towed due to snow emergency).
This old man was walking by as I hit the first stop sign and flashed me a look like "You're gonna kill someone driving like that you son of a bitch!" I'm not leaving the house again until nature has melted all of that snow off my car. She caused that mess and now she has to fix it. [Edited 3/14/06 10:16am] ~ I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR ~
