I need to get my place

I want to have my place and finally escape from the grasp pf my family. I'm so tired of the constant cold war moments we are having.

The problem is that I'm on my post-grad and my part-time job doesn't give the income I need to get my own place. I feel so restrainted! sad

Same here....I have to deal with roommates half the time. School just sucks and takes up too much of my time. I'd rather work full time right now and just move to wherever I want to. I don't have too much longer with school though and believe me I'm counting the days down. lol

Speaking from experience, the only reason you are restrainted is because you want to be.

You are not ready to flap your wings and leave the nest. You are too afraid you will fall.

On that note, what's the name of that new movie? Are you going to see faliure to launch?

OR maybe he's being realistic & knows he doesn't make enough money right now to move neutral

I feel your pain Mike, when I was in school it seemed to take forever to get out of the house w/ grad school & shit jobs keeping my income low. But you'll get there before you know it, just try to stay sane until you do. comfort

It helps to always put the positive spin on it too - at least you have a place to live while things are so tight woot! Some people don't even have that, so count the good shit & keep it moving nod

bullshit! I moved out years before I ever started going to college.

There is the Lifestyle we have grown accustomed to by living at home, and the lifestyle we can actually afford. Thinking one can just transend through to the same statious is foolish and leach like thinking. If it is time to move, you simply use the front door for what it was ment for, walking out it.

BULLSHIT neutral YOUR situation is not everyone's situation. In the area where I live, I would have had to rent a damn crackhouse to survive on what I was making @ the time so it would have been plain foolish to move until I made more $ to support myself AND feel safe where I lived - what's the point if you're scared to go home every night?

So consider, just for a moment, that everyone has different circumstances & what worked for you may not work for them for various reasons. fart

Well then, if that is the case, no need bitch about it on a website messageboard because it is a choice one has made. I Grew up in Boston mass where a good appartment will run your ass 1500 dollars a month. I managed. You have to find your own space if you really want your own place.

My point was don't be a pussy if you want to move out, you should. It is the only way anyone learns what it means to be on one's own.

You are so fucking annoying lol This is not about being a pussy. This is about making a choice to put it off for good reason - he can bitch about it on a website just as we all bitch/talk/whine about stuff on here. WTF is your point? That he should manage it just because YOU did? Who the fuck are you? lol

He'll get out on his own & he'll learn "what it means to be on one's own", but he doesn't have to do it today w/ a part time job & grad school hanging over his head. It's smart of him actually, IMO. poke

Shit, I put myself out. Me and my mom were about to go AT. IT. one night. I said to myself "Let me get outta here before I fight this bitch." So I called my co-worker and moved in with her, and when she moved out I signed the lease in my name. Problem solved.

You only find me annoying because you know I am right. Who am I? At least I am a man that got out of his parental household. I spread my wings and I flew out of the nest.

I am NOT that "man" who puts all his money in the bank while letting my parents foot my bills. I am NOT that man that didn't end up saving money because I had a car I couldn't afford, buying crap I didn't need, just to make me feel like a man because I wimppered on a internet website that I have to be a man and get out of my parents house.

My point is, if someone is old enough, they should know how to use the door by now. The door opens, you walk out it, you think "where will I sleep tonight", and you find some place other then your childhood bed.

Oh Please, get off the tit.

Oh I think I am.

When I said "stop leaching" I wasn't insulting but reusing a common family statement.

I have nothing personal against anyone here.

It IS simply THE TRUTH.

Upon a age, you are suposed to use the door.

NO, you're annoying b/c you come on every thread w/ this holier than thou attitude as if you're so much more evolved than everyone else. That your way is THE way, that you're always right (as you've so graciously stated above) - THAT'S why you're annoying. neutral

Yes, the door is meant to walk through it. And the brain is meant to use it. And thoughts are valuable (everyones, not just yours). Decisions are to be made. Sacrifices are to be made, comfort is a thing to consider - if he'd rather wait to make more $ & sacrifice his independence FOR NOW that's his choice. Who gives a shit if YOU don't think it's wise - maybe it's the wise thing for him to do & that's all that matters confused

I hate when people come w/ absolutes, no consideration of the individual & their circumstances. Your life is yours, his is his - quit shoving Nike slogans down his throat...
