the other day in the bottle shop I bought some tequila

this brand, since it was on special.
I had my 4 year old with me and he was pestering me for the little hat on the lid, and when I was paying for it, he says in a very loud voice
"mummy said I could have the little hat, but only after she has finished drinking the whole bottle"
and I'm like "well don't hold your breath darling, that could take months" redface
but after all our hot weather and the experimenting with margarita recipes, the bottle is empty already after a week. Tomorrow he gets his little hat.

Today I was just visiting a friend in hospital dying of liver cancer. He is not going to make it - only 60, skin and bone and his arms covered in bruises. Last time I saw him he looked fine, less than a year ago, but this guy was a very heavy drinker, always a scotch in his hand, always sneaking off to refill his glass.

sad

I'm scared my dad's gonna go like that, he's been drinking and doping his whole life too. I'm a bit amazed that he's as healthy as he is, considering. At least he stopped smoking a few years ago.

Sorry to hear about your friend.

The Sierra stuff was my first bottle of Tequila I ever owned. They do a 'gold' one which I am not a big fan of.

My favourite is the Patron Silver stuff although it is very hard to get in the UK (Harvey Nichols).

I guess it is a case of everything in moderation.

Yeah, I've had three family members and my best friends father taken by it. Fast as hell. Which, as bad as it sounds, is the way to go. No one wants to see their loved ones suffer. My grandfather died of Lou Gehrig's disease, and it slowly debilitated him over the course of years. sad

sorry bout your friend

I am, however, glad you drank that tequilla!! thumbs up!

I was worried it was not a good brand, and felt guilty it was not the best I could afford after your kind advice - though I never drink enough of it to get a hangover biggrin
