Ya'll, I am at a crossroads. As I sit here typing this I am dumbfounded.


Here's the deal...

I have been in school since 2003. I enrolled in a Radiology Technician program. I successfully completed x-ray school, but it was white knuckle all the way. It was tremendously difficult, but I did it and now I'm a licensed RT.

I moved straight into the program to get certified in mammography. I'm still at the hospital where my husband is the manager. We are a small, regional hospital and basically just do screening and limited diagnostic testing. I'm getting a BS in mammography and know that the experience I'm getting is really limited.

So...here's what happened today. I got an email from my instructor. She was approached about an opening for a student in the Mammography department at the University of Utah. It's a huge facility. Very state of the art...they do EVERYTHING related to mammo. She asked me if I was interested.

I told her yes and now I'm petrified. I so need this. I know I can do it, but it is SO outside my comfort zone that I am ACK!!!!

You don't grow unless you are out of your comfort zone! Good for you, woman!
