It's alright, the movie doesn't kick into horror mode until about half way through. It's got some gross out scenes, but overall not as violent as I expected. There's a great scene with little kids towards the end that cracked me up.

Jarvis has the sexiest voice ever though. And his lyrics are brilliant. There's something really sexy about him to me, even physically. Yeah, i have a close friend who loves Jarvis too, but she always tends to like skinny, geeky guys... whereas I like em a bit rougher! She loves Mick Jagger, that always baffled me You really think he has a sexy voice? Wow....

He sort of talks/whispers the lyrics, which are all about what's going on leading up to a bedroom scene. Damn, it just gives me the chills hearing it. And I also tend to like skinny, geeky guys. So anyway, the movie Hostel.... "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

Okay, I have to say that I didn't like the movie. Without spoiling it, I have to say that it doesn't bring anything to the screen that we haven't seen before. I actually thought the premise was really good but then add lots of female nudity without the male nudity and it all goes down hill. At least make it equal.
The movie shows the Americans and the people from Amsterdam in a bad light. M MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! We want cigar puffing men that look like they wanna beat the living daylights out of us" Val"sporking is spooning with benefits"

Don't bother with it, it's just another one of those bullshit pretentious Hollywood trying to be European movies... Go rent "Funny Games" or "Irreversible" instead... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

I wouldn't even watch the commercial on principle. I found it disgusting that watching torture would even be classed as 'entertainment'.

LOL, if you want to see something disturbing, check out the first two movies in the Guinea Pig series, especially Flower Of Flesh & Blood. They actually had to do a "making of..." special, because people were complaining that it was a real snuff film.
Cannibal Holocaust was notorious for it's violence as well, but you only see glimpses of it through the sloppy camera work. Among the murders in the film, they castrate a guy, then slowly hack him to pieces with their crude makeshift axes, you can see his body spilling apart on the ground. They also impale a woman on a giant wooden stake, that goes in between her legs and comes out her mouth. Unfortunately they kill several animals in the movie for real, and it's pretty senseless.

Why would you watch that? for real. just get a job at the dog pound gassing stray pets or get a job at a prison or a slaughterhouse. at least you'd be getting paid for it. [Edited 3/8/06 10:42am]

Back in the day (and you know when I mean) it was the highlight of the day for a lot of people. They'd bring their kids, and food and drink would be sold in the public square, while everyone jostled for a good spot to watch someone get torn part, disemboweled, beheaded, or hung. Then they'd fight for a piece of flesh or a bit of blood from the recently executed, because they thought it had medicinal purposes. Yes. That's in the history books. It went from gory bodies on spikes ----> straight to the internet. There was nothing in between, that I know of. Al Gore invented the internet?
