not all of them, but a whole hell of a lot that i've met. Yeah, I think there's some truth to this. Now, pretty girls of the org, don't go getting your itty bitty panties in a bunch. But from the women I've known, I think that pretty girls are allowed to rely too much on their looks growing up. They get a 'pass' of sorts. . . have an easier time making friends, and as adults, have an easier time finding jobs (studies have shown this) and partners. Problem is, allowing ones self-identity to rest on looks is an awfully fragile thing. Having those things come more easily has drawbacks when it comes to the ultimate rewards (eg. if you have to earn your friends through kindness and humor, rather than being a pretty thing to have around as a popularity boost, that friendship is more likely to last. . . if you have to be smart and educated to get somewhere in the world, the end destination might be more fulfilling. . . etc). I do think it can end up leading to all kinds of insanity. Now, lots of women overcome this, either due to good influences in their lives or just their own strength of character/personality.
