Cannibal Holocaust was notorious for it's violence as well, but you only see glimpses of it through the sloppy camera work. Among the murders in the film, they castrate a guy, then slowly hack him to pieces with their crude makeshift axes, you can see his body spilling apart on the ground. They also impale a woman on a giant wooden stake, that goes in between her legs and comes out her mouth. Unfortunately they kill several animals in the movie for real, and it's pretty senseless. Why would you watch that? For the special effects. I don't get off on watching people suffer, I get into the illusions the makeup artists create. Sometimes they're really convinving and make you do a double take, other times they're more stylized and surreal (like in Suspiria). I'm pretty squeamish about real life gory stuff, I can't even make it through Marylin Manson's knee injury in his dvd, I have to fast forward through it, LOL. And that vet show on Animal Planet where they do emergency surgery on dogs and stuff, I can't even watch that for 5 minutes, I get all depressed.

He probably just couldn't fit it in the conversation anywhere though. well, when we were talking in the men's room at the park (it was a coincidence, honest), he said he was busy creating the extreem-net. that should be nice. George Michael already told me this story a whole month ago. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

I think that's the only movie EVER that I rented and turned it off. After the head-smashing scene, I just knew I didn't need to finish it.

They'd bring their kids, and food and drink would be sold in the public square, while everyone jostled for a good spot to watch someone get torn part, disemboweled, beheaded, or hung. Then they'd fight for a piece of flesh or a bit of blood from the recently executed, because they thought it had medicinal purposes. then al gore invented the internet, and we all just started calling each other dirty misspelled names all the time and looked at net porns. speak for yourself Dirty Hippie! Is that a member of the circle of sexxxy? One of the movies for me this year (along with Aronfosky's 'The Fountain', 'X-Men III', and 'A Scanner Darkly') is 'Silent Hill'. Every movie adaptation of a game i've had the dire misfortune to see to date has sucked, but finally it looks like someone with an knowledge of what made the game tick, and an understanding of the overall feel of it has got it right: ...and roll on 2007 for 'GHOST RIDER'! (I loved the comic as a kid, so I'm really excited about seeing that brought to the big screen)
