i need some advice on buying my first.....

mp3 player ipod thingy

Now bare with me-im currently downloading all my tunes on2 computer(over a 1000 cds-my back aches)

now-when i first started it was on windows which was utterly shit qulaity-sound distorted and everything and then i ran them all through I tunes-now the sound is perfect-im hearing things id never heard b4!(does it convert it w p summit or other)

soooo the ? is-do certain mp3 players have better sound than others?

ill also need at least 3000 song capacity

anyway any advice is apprciated

plus i dont have a computer(im back in the uk from nz-im using a pals)so battery life is a bonus.

here's my tip.

do NOT buy an iPod.

my girlfriend owns one and compared to the Zen Vision:M I just bought 3 days ago it pales in comparison.

Many people, including shop attendents would recommend the Zen Vision:M (by Creative Labs). It just came out so it's selling pretty quick... the store I went to only had one left!

But you won't regret it!

No limit on sound quality, holds 30G (fits the most of most peoples' collections), plays videos, holds pics and does some other things too!
