You are the KING of obscure/odd information. That's why I love you! It has always been one of my favorite things about him too. And I have, by proxy, become a bit of an expert on some really weird shit. Seattle Org Invasion July 28th-30th http://www.prince.org/msg/2/177514

Ah, the good old days. [Edited 3/10/06 4:46am] The best one was when Olive became a beatnik and started hanging out in coffee houses where Brutus was the big spoken word poetry star. Popeye didn't like Olive calling him "square" so naturally he eats his spinach and suddenly starts rhyming the craziest things on stage while doing his sailor dance and playing his accordion. The coffee house crowd goes wild and start snapping their fingers in appreciation. In the middle of all this, Popeye also somehow manages to knock out Brutus with one punch. Definitely drug-induced, that one. | |

It's why I love Bugs Bunny so much. They were made for adults, and I didn't even get half the jokes and situations when I was a kid. Plus, I LOVE the old school Sesame Street cartoons and muppet skits from the 70s. They were so tripped out. I really want to find these especially.
