I love NYC and I believe we will be honeymooning in Manhatten and Atlantic City this September.

Hi Dean, just a linguistic question...can you say you will be honeymooning after you´d been married for a long time or is it that you aren´t married YET ?

What I´m asking is,I assumed you are already married, and in that case, can you go on a honeymoon AGAIN, i.e. can a married couple go on a honeymoon more than once ?
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

We are getting married on August 19 and then spending the next week or two moving before taking our honeymoon. We travel a lot so our honeymoon won't really be all that different for us but fun all the same.

Being married is a whole different mindset, tho...If you're marrying for the right reasons (and it seems that you both are), your honeymoon will be more celebratory than all your other trips. nod

I love taking night shots on trips because people look at you funny when you are looking for trashcans or streetsigns or anything to balance the camera on.

I actually brought my tripod with to Florida 2 weeks ago which enabled me to take this nice picture (my camera only has a 10 second timer so not too shabby on my part to run that far and make it look like a relaxing walk on the beach lol:

(yes I love this picture so much right now that I will even post it on a NYC thread lol )

...but tripods don't really work when you are walking around a city all day.

Despite the high taxes, crime, poverty and racism(NYC metro area is the THIRD highest segregated area in the U.S.), I wouldn't live or work anywhere else(maybe LA or Chi-town). If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. For a graphic designer like myself, this is the place to be. I love the diversity - it seems like the whole world lives here. Don't forget the nightlife and the women - oh yes!

Whether you like it or not, NYC is the flagship city of the U.S.

Yes I suspect you are right and at the very least I'm sure we will be celebrating the end of wedding planning with all the worries that go along with it and the horror of the two of us both moving out of our apartments at the same time into a new place.

I'm a little jealous of those of you who are going to NYC for this invasion but being as I promised myself that the next time I was going to New York I would see a game at Yankee stadium there was little I could do. Wish I could have afforded to go twice.

I've had the fortune to be in New York during two holidays.

1 - Fourth of July. I remember standing on the top of an apartment building with a bunch of people as fireworks went off all around us and over the water. Summer is very hot remember.

2 - Christmas. A beautiful time to be in New York. Really magical. People skating outside at Rockefeller Square. Go see the Nutcracker Ballet, make a snowman on the sidewalk, warm up in a nice cafe in lower east side. nod

I agree.

I am so glad I was able to see New York, when the Twin Towers were still standing..

(But..San Francisco is still my city.)

I was at twin towers 2 weeks to the day it was crashed on. Still have pix of the mall underneath it that was there at the time and took a pix of both towers together standing right in between them and from statue of liberty!! Also San fransico is an ok town. Just couldn't wait to get to Los Angeles that same day!!!
