Oprah made a big deal about this is because of one rude salesperson. Oprah had never accused that salesperson of racism, where are yall getting that from? She believed the salesperson's rudeness was because she didn't look like a typical Hermes customer, and Oprah did looked tore up and without no makeup when she was at Hermes. Therefore the salesperson judged Oprah more of her look appearance. Oprah arrived at the store fifeen minutes after closing time, not many hours later as previously reported. Also she proably wondered why was the salesperson closing the store to her yet people were still inside shopping. Had the store been closed and no one was inside then Oprah probably wont make a big fuss about it. Also Oprah never said anything about French people being racist or this and that. All her anger was that one particular salesperson.

Oprah's boycott surely had hurted Hermes because I heard they lost a lot of money in result of it.

I think Oprah, like all of us, has flaws -- she comes off as increasingly self-righteous, and her incredible charitability is undercut by the flashy way in which she conducts it. It's almost like: "Hey, world, look at how much I give away THIS time!!!"

But she has battled some major demons, and come out on top. And she does the world a heap of good.

I like her overall... to the extent, even, that I might consider her one of my heroes.

Oprah does all these stupid shows about makeovers and way too many boneheaded celebrity interviews. She needs to do more political and serious topics, beyond all the child molestation stuff, which can get depressing.

I can't stand her. I really tried to like her, I really did. I even wrote to her after she did a show with Anderson Cooper that made me cry. Her show is a cleaned up Jerry Springer, in a lot of ways she is just like Maury, Tyra and any other of the trashy talkshows. She just has better guests. It don't stop her from trying to get dirt from them though. I hate the way she keeps looking at the camera, i hate the way she thinks she's too good for racism to happen to her, I hate the way she tore into James Frey after she sang his praises before. There are a million reasons. Some are rational, some are not. The biggest: she comes off as a fake bitch.
