I believe ... that your thoughts about age reflect outward

if you feel old and think you are falling apart

then bingo ... the body manifests your thoughts

i dont feel much different @ 41 then i did in highschool

i do feel alot more experienced but nold Old ... and i certainly dont feel like i am falling apart, if anything in my life right now i feel really good... better then i did even a yr ago

well no it's not like that. i think it's just down to lack of meaningfull exercise. plus a few bugs going around don't make matters better either.

fortunately my brain is in relative tip top condition.

actually, i'm feeling and looking better now at 35 than i ever have. i think most of it is DUE to things falling apart as i get older, and the fact that i *HAVE* to take better care of myself...i don't stay out late on work nights, i don't drink like i used to, i go to the gym regularly, blah blah blah. i figure if i can't go out and do unhealthy stuff like i used to, i might as well fill that time doing things that are healthy. seems to be working. shrug

things I've noticed:

-the hangovers are WAY worse

-my metabolism slows down more and more every year

-if I have a night of crazy dancing, I feel it in my back and knees for days

-if I am in bed for much longer than 8 hours, I have to get up due to back pain

the BIGGEST change i can tell in my age is that i used to be able to go out on a weeknight and party till 4 or 5am, get an hour or two of sleep, then go to work that morning and hold my own till i could go home and get some rest.

that doesn't work anymore. if i stay out late on a weeknight, i can't go to work the next day. it just ain't gonna happen. period. getting proper sleep is becoming more and more non-negotiable to me.

i kinda welcome that change, though.

Well, Columbo pretended he was a bit dim to get the truth too. So there's the link between our comments. I would have shagged Angela Langberry (?) back in tha day before gravity began taking the piss.

You seem to have such a nice and harmonious life, at peace with yourself and others. I'm jealous of that. We should all get to have a house in the mountains, a caring family and great soap-making skills. hmph!

DUDE!!! I am a complete fucking MESS if I don't get 6 hours or more - I can't even function on 5 hours these days, let alone 2 hours or no sleep at all lol

You look fantastic!

I'm quickly learning that I'm not 21 anymore. I still try to push myself as hard as ever, but the law of diminishing returns is setting in hardcore.
