Anyway, I think this is the first year where I don't agree with your top picks Calhoun.

I don't like Salma's dress all that much. Sure she's gorgeous, but it's just too shiny and satiny. And she looks as though she can't move an inch, otherwise she'll spill out of it.

Jennifer Lopez's dress is just, blah. I love the design and fabric, but that color! It's just too much of that color from head to toe. And her hair is boring to me. She always seems to wear that severe, librarian, pulled back style for formal events, and I'm over it. I feel like her style has not moved forward over the years.

Charlize's dress would be at the bottom of the barrel for me! What the hell is going on there! It's way too much going on and it looks ill-fitting. But at least she's not orange like someone on here already said.

I think Uma looks amazing here, and she's usually hit-or-miss at these things.

And I can't see your pics of Hillary Swank or Sandra Bullock.

Maggie Gyllenhall always dresses badly. Always. So I'm not surprised. It's almost as if she TRIES to look frumpy and wear ill-fitting clothes.

And that Big Bird thing. I'm not sure what to think. At least she didn't play it safe.

And Lisa Rinna. She's just freakish looking.

I think Jessica Alba looks beautiful.

I'm just going by photos btw. I'm in Holland and didn't even watch the Oscars because they were on in the middle of the night here. So I only have pics to judge from.

And as usual, I haven't seen any of the films that were nominated. Not a one, except I just watched Wallace and Gromit two days ago.

Which is worse...the fact that Crash won best picture, or the fact that THIS is a sticky in spite of our ongoing conversation that was happening on this thread all weekend:

Salma's dress was weird, it squashed one boob and pushed the other one out.

Also, the performance from that song from Crash looked more like Dawn of the Dead with those people creeping around in the background.

The Ben Stiller thing was cute, as was the Will Ferrel makeup mishap. It took me a few seconds to get that Baldwin Brothers joke, LOL.

It was all about Charlize Theron's dress. She was IMO, flawless. Yeah, Selma's dress was weird. It looked like one boob was bigger than the other. I still love her.

I love that the butch came out of King Latifah for a second, then she went back.

I'm not THAT angry the BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN lost for best pic. I really really loved CRASH also.

Oh, I love the Oscars and seeing all the dresses!

My favourites are :

Salma's: I liked it and didn't think it made her breast look weird, but on the other hand I've just seen that one picture of her.

Jennifer Lopez's: The only thing wrong with it was the color. Would have been amazing in fiery red or something!

Jessica Alba's: Beautiful!

A lot of bad dresses, but some of 'em :

Naomi's: I don't understand how someone can make a dress like that and then let a famous actress weare it for a big event like that?! But it's really Naomi's fault...

Helena Bonham Carter's: I dunno....what to say... EVERYTHING was wrong about her! She looked as if she came drunk from a party...

I wasn't disappointed Brokeback Mountain didn't win. I didn't think it was the best picture of the year. I would have picked Munich or Crash over it.

I thought Michelle Williams looked fantastic. I loved her hair, makeup (her lipstick was perfect!) and dress. I didn't once think of Big Bird!



I thought she and Salma were the best dressed. You can see the giganta-size pictures of a lot of the stars at Egotastic's Oscar fashion round up. We're talking seeing inside the pores kinda huge.

Though I've put less stock in the Oscar picks over the past couple of years, I was most disappointed that Amy Adams didn't win for Best Supporting Actress. As much as I loved Philip Seymour Hoffman, as much as Heath Ledger moved me, and as great as Felicity Huffman was, I think Amy Adams was better than any of them. She created a complex, loveable, sweet, funny and memorable character in Junebug. I hope to see more from her in the future.

I wanted to see Three Six Mafia perform I missed George Clooney accept his oscar too, but I'm glad he won even though I didn't see his movie. I didn't even watch it until the end when Crash had won.....even Jack seem suprised.

You know what's funny guys? When I looked @ MSN today, they were ALL OVER Kiera Knightly's dress (which I thought was just overdone to death) but there was barely a mention of Salma's!!!



I stand by my choices I could have put Uma higher on the list, she really did look great.

I LOVE the color of Jennifer Lopez' dress Red would have been so predictable, the green is wonderful!

The only thing wrong w/ Charlize was her hair IMO, I still love her look - it's big & glamorous & you know she's at an EVENT...
