For awhile last year I didn't have internet access in my house and I had to use the library and sneak email checks at work. That was a bit inconvienent but I lived and after a few months I had access again. It was like a dream come true. I loved the internet so much more after that.

For the record, I do have my own wireless network, which I pay for and is password-protected. I'm just amazed at how many people leave their Wi-Fi networks wide open.
