My profile says February 18, 2002, but that merely reflects the date my account was created for "Version 2.0." I've been here since day one: January 1, 1999. Actually, I was on the site in late 1998, as a beta-tester before the site was opened to the public.
And since prince.org is the successor to the PPML... well, I subscribed the PPML in November 1995 within hours of Kevin's announcement about the PPML launch. In short, I've been here a long time.  Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

I think perhaps I lurked in the beginning and didn't become a member until a year later in 2002. Like I said in my previous post there were many choices back then when comes to a Prince site before the lawsuit threats. I am loving this thread and I was going to start one like this. I am learning things on this thread about how org became to what it is now and how people who used to be on the PPML and the black and purple days are still here whilst others from those days doesn't post regularly anymore. | |

I remembered too of the black and purple days, and I was in high school and I used to sneak on the old org browsed. But back then there were many Prince websites, so many choices. I hang out at Hammer's site and AMP a bit more than the org, among other Prince sites that I can't remembered their names. The choices became very limited after Prince's bullied lawyers intervened. Now Prince.org and HQ are the most active sites, and AMP is practically dead now. Never been to Hammer's site, although I have positive things about it. The people on AMP I've heard negative things about, so I don't dare venture there.  RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. | |
