Hand Signals

There was this construction worker on the third floor of this unfinished building. He needed a hand saw, but was too lazy to go down and get it himself, so he tried to call his fellow worker on the ground to get it for him, but this guy could not hear a word he said. So he started to give a sign so the guy on the ground could understand him.

First he pointed at his eyes (meaning "I") then pointed at his knees (meaning "need"), and moved his hand back and forth describing the movement of a hand saw.

Finally, the guy on the ground started nodding his head like he understood and dropped his
pants and started to jerk off.

The guy on the third floor got ticked-off and ran down to the ground and started yelling at this guy, "You idiot, I was trying to tell you I needed a hand saw."

The other guy replied, "I know, I was trying to tell you that I was coming."

exactly. and just exactly HOW did the guy on the ground 'drop his pants'???

i think we're all well aware that construction workers wear overalls and those just aren't so droppable

i agree. this business of the third-floor guy, mr. 'i need a handsaw', running down to yell at the guy on the ground. NOT likely. it's simply too dangerous to run around an unfinished building, as we all know.

yes, the building inspectors (which he failed to mention) would have got really angry and started shaking their clip boards at them.

yes it is, it says in the site rules, "do not post false information about builders and hand saws, also do not allude to rude things about hand saws."

this thread is in trouble i think and will be deleted.

I just think people should post true things and not made up things and then expect us to believe them and laugh like hyenas at the untrue thing and pretend it is true.

maybe we could edit it a bit:

Hand Signals

There was this construction worker on the third floor of this unfinished building. He needed a hand saw, even though he should already have cut the boards he was using before he ever climbed up there, but was too lazy to go down and get it himself, even though he's a big tough strong construction guy type. so he tried to call his fellow worker on the ground to get it for him, but this guy could not hear a word he said, being several floors down and probably a bit deaf from the loud job-related noises he is routinely exposed to at various construction sites around town. So he started to give a sign, or pantomime, or other charade type form of communication so the guy on the ground could understand him.

First he pointed at his eyes (meaning "I") then pointed at his knees (meaning "need"), and moved his hand back and forth describing the movement of a hand saw. He could also have used his cellphone, or perhaps the intercom if it had existed, or written a note and dropped it but instead he used the aforementioned 'hand signals'.

Finally, the guy on the ground started nodding his head like he understood and dropped his pants, after unhooking the shoulder straps of his coveralls in order to permit such activity, and started to jerk off.

The guy on the third floor got ticked-off and ran down to the ground, or perhaps rode the lift, or at least made his way carefully downward, and started yelling at this guy, "You idiot, I was trying to tell you I needed a hand saw."

The other guy replied, "I know, I was trying to tell you that I was coming."

yes, but substitute the word jerk off for "hand manouvering that involves repeated movements which may or may not injure the wrist and any such person undertaking this activity must proceed with caution."

LOL. One of my first times in NY, I freaked out because I didn't know what the exact hand gesture was to wave down a taxi. I got all nervous because I didn't want to look like I was doing some "white power" salute or something, but I didn't want to stick my thumb up like some hitchiker either. I actually stopped and asked a security guard and he was laughing at me.

true story. one of my aunts was next to a school bus at a stop light and she saw all of these kids throwing hand signs, which she interpreted as gang signs. she then said to her husband "i think those kids are about to fight 'cuz they keep throwing up their hand signs" and her husband goes "read the side of the bus" 'school for the deaf' falloff
