Go with the Motorolas Mach. Look for the ones with the rechargable batteries, they can be had for as little as 40 dollars for a set of two.

ditto I have Motorolas and I can't fault them except!! The eat batteries - hence the rechargable suggestion. MAke sure they have a good few channels (10 or so), otherwise you end up chatting to all kinds of folks Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). They have regular size ones and they have micro size too, but I don't believe the micros have rechargable batts. Look for the Talkabout T6550R, that is a great unit. Here is a link for all the units http://direct.motorola.co...OWAYRADIOS

Mine had about 14 channels and we'd sometimes pick up the neighbors cell phones and such. Probably not so much of a concern where you are, though. |

Mach, another option, if you like, are these cell phones...
Just 4-5 keys, with speed dials for Mom, Dad and 911. If you already have a service, I think these are the carriers that have them available to include with your package plan: Cingular Sprint Verizon Nextel T Mobile
