What's a good music mixing program?

I hate it when I burn a CD and some of the songs are really LOUDER than others.

I use Roxio CD creator but it doesn't allow volume equalization.
I tried the Dell Musicmatch Jukebox, which allows for volume "equalization" but the difference was insignificant.

Basically...I want to put "The Cross" next to "Dolphin" and have them at the same volume level on the CD.

Any advice?

For this and more buy:

Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 10

You'll learn something about audio while you're at it.

no worries. pretty easy to use and some semi-professional effects to clean up those old vinyl and boots if you ever wanted to.
