-the hangovers are WAY worse -my metabolism slows down more and more every year -if I have a night of crazy dancing, I feel it in my back and knees for days -if I am in bed for much longer than 8 hours, I have to get up due to back pain ya that's pretty much it with me too. oh and the grey hair thing, chicks dig it. the chicks aren't the only ones

that doesn't work anymore. if i stay out late on a weeknight, i can't go to work the next day. it just ain't gonna happen. period. getting proper sleep is becoming more and more non-negotiable to me. i kinda welcome that change, though. DUDE!!! I am a complete fucking MESS if I don't get 6 hours or more - I can't even function on 5 hours these days, let alone 2 hours or no sleep at all MAN, that used to be something - being "spry" sometimes i wonder if it's a matter of age or a matter of refinement - i always felt like chapped ass when i'd go to work sleep-deprived and hungover, i think one day i just decided not to put myself through that anymore. it's all about standards...

When I worked my stupid corporate job, I thought it wa funny to show-up at work half crocked still from the night before. And, half my team did that 3 days a week. Now that I have a "real" job that I actually care about. I no longer think it's funny. Instead I find it sad. If I'm hungover/useless at my job due to lack of sleep from being out, I get rather down on myself and just try to hide. AND, it's kinda hard to talk with a client SERIOUSLY about their chemical dependency concerns when I am dying from over-indulgence

Most of my life I've been a night owl. I'm still in that phase of getting my most creative work done at night. But I also am having to apply myself fully during the day more and more often lately. So for me, it's a matter of balancing my left and right brains and figuring out what the day requires of me. I'm flexible like that. But look where it got me this week!

Well coming from experience..
Sometimes it feels like every body part needs oil.. But for the most part it is wonderful.. I am getting older, it shows in my face. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

Agree with so many things on this thread. When I was younger, I always thought your body would become more resilient to hangovers. I remember way back when I could go out five, sometimes six, nights a week and roll into work the next day. And still do a good day's work. If I tried that now I'd look like a sack of potatoes. But, otherwise, I quite like getting older. I'm more aware of my limitations and feel more destructible Bring on the zimmer!

i've decided i'm going to be a ranty old german man when i get old, just like brother theodore. i'm going to yell a lot and get my spittle on people. i mean, i already do that NOW, but it'll be different when i'm old. Somehow I can see that happening. It's a clear vision, Christian Zombie Vampires

I need less sleep to get by on, than ever before. I can function on five hours now. In fact, if I sleep for more than seven hours, I feel groggy the day after. Getting older isn't all bad.

just take my name its not real im not that old, its just how i feel.
back in the 90's I had a back operation to remove a disk from my lower back, since then i have felt like im old. some guys have already said thatthey cant sleep for 8 hours with out waking up to back ache i know what you mean. 6 hours it my tops and I now work shifts which dont help. The worst times that my back plays up is in the winter when its cold and damp, the ache never seems to give up untill the weather starts to warm up (that will be around August in the UK). The doctors tell me i should loose some weight and give up smoking and DO the exercises they have told me. doing the exercises causes more pain so I dont do them. maybe im afraid that by doing them will cause more problems. I m told that if i dont do them i could end up with cronic back problems. so I sit here at work talking to you guys which is a no no siting courses more probems but what the hell you only live once right!!! im think im trying the doing the right thing!! am I?

I see you in a rocking chair of sorts or maybe sitting on a park bench feeding the pidgeons and you'd have a posse that would love your stories of old...they just have to endure the spittle...which slightly unbeknowest to them you actually control.
