BATON ROUGE -- A man on parole for a manslaughter conviction has been accused of raping his 99-year-old neighbor.


Louis Brown Jr., 54, of Baton Rouge, was charged with aggravated rape Wednesday in an indictment handed up by a grand jury. Assistant District Attorney Sue Bernie said Brown knew the alleged victim, but they are not related.


Brown was jailed in lieu of $250,000 bond. Bernie said Brown had done errands for the victim before the alleged attack, which took place last year.


The rape charge carries a mandatory life prison sentence without parole.


Authorities did not provide details of Brown's manslaughter conviction

I don't know. That's just more of an unfathomable, bizarre, otherworldy thought than just something I'd consider as "evil" outright.

Just another proof that rape is about hatred, not sex.
