COMPUTER HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

I have at last got the hang on burning!! The problem is my computer hasnt!!!!! lol lol lol lol

Let me explain. I use Deep Burner. The thing is on my computer I have a Reset button and then theres a green light next 2 that with is my Power button which comes on when I log on, then beside that theres a red light that flashes when my computer is functioning!! On my burner theres a light that flashes when the burning is in process. Anyway, I can b halfway through burning a CD and then the red light next 2 the power light just ceases 2 flash and so does the light on my burner and the whole burning process stops!! I have wasted so many CDRs because of this!!

Can anyone help and give me some solutions 2 this problem?? I AM DESPERATE!!!!!

Perhaps your hard disk is set to power off after a certain amount of time.
If there's no keyboard/mouse activity within the time the hard disk will power down which will stop the burn process.

Try Control Panel\Display Properties

There should be a Power Settings (or similar) button on the Display Properties, click on it and set 'Turn off hard disks' to Never. Set 'System Stand by' and 'System hibernate' to Never while your at it.

You must be using one of those British made CD-Burners nod

They are nothing but trouble, try using an American brand thumbs up!

Im sure there are enough forums on the net that you could ask this question in, and im sure people on those techie forums would be happy to sort your issue out. However .....
how about telling us some of the specifications of your PC. Lets start with the following

Proccessor Type and Speed (i.e P4 3.2Ghz)
How much memory to do you? (i.e 1Gb)
What is the size of your hard drive(s)
How much free space do you have
How fragmented are your drives
What operating system do you have? (PLEASE tell me its not Windows ME)
Is it up to date with patches / updates
What Anti Virus software do you have and when did you last update it?
What is the make / model / speed of your CDR drive?
Does your PC hang when you are doing anything else??
Have you tried using another burning program such as Nero?

If you can tell us this it might give us a better idea of whats going on. If i can help i will - love4oneanother -

Peace to you Gold319

It's probably the shitty overpriced English electricity. Sometimes because you are not in America it will just stop flowing. This is primarily due to over taxing, immigration policy and roundabouts. There really is no way to stop this. A change of government would produce a temporary change but then the country would just go to shit again and the outages would start again.
For many of us we have sent our partners out to get a second job to pay for all the wasted CD-R's but as we all know this is not a possibility for you. sad

There really is only one solution.....here is 10p ....call someone who gives a shit! lol
