The Shining.

I guess he didn't really like the way Jack Nicholson played Jack Torrance in the movie version, because he played it crazy right from the start. In the book it's more gradual.

I never saw Rose Red or the Salem's Lot remake.

The Stand and It are really too difficult to make into something for TV or film I think. At least something that will turn out good and true to the book anyway. They are such deeply layered stories, that a lot gets left out. I prefer to use my imagination.
