I was using margarita mix, but it's $10 a bottle for cordial basically, I'm sure one can make them more cheaply!

Kind of a spartan recipe but it works for cheap:

6 oz tequila
4 oz triple sec
2 oz lime juice
sugar to taste

Rim a hurricane glass lip with salt (moisten with some lime juice). Add the tequila, triple sec and Rose's lime juice, then fill the rest of the glass with ice cubes until the level of liquor reaches the salt rimmed top. Serve.

I always order virgin frozen margaritas when i go out to Mexican restaurants and without the booze they are great. They taste like pixie sticks depending upon which flavor I get

3 parts of high quality tequila
Life is too short to drink cheap tequila! And, face it, the margarita will be incrementally better if you jump up to a higher-end brand (besides the better the tequila, the less severe the hangover!). Agave is my fave.

2 parts orange liqueur
Grand Marnier is the best in my opinion

1 part FRESH lime juice
Don't skimp here. Get yourself some ripe fresh limes, juice them, drain the pulp and use the fresh juice.

Okay, moisten the rim of your glass with a fresh lime wedge. Then dip it in COARSE KOSHER SALT. Add the liquids to an ice filled shaker and shake it up. Drain into the glass and garnish. You can add a bit of sugar if you like to sweeten it up. If you like it frozen, just mix the ingredients with ice in a sturdy blender until it's the consistency you like.

anyway.... cant believe im sharing the recipe.... get it quick, i may take it back down


in a pitcher.... add the following....

1 can limeade (any kind will do, but dont use a margarita mix, its gotta be limeade)
then 1/2 - 1 can of tequilia (i use a whole can, thats 1/2 of a fifth) and dont waste the money buying high dollar tequilia.... you cant taste the difference in there anyway
3/4 - 1 can 7-up i tend to use only 1/2 to 3/4 of a can of 7-up
one bottle of corona beer yes, you heard me... pour it in there


serve over ice in a salted glass with a lime... and thats it..... enjoy

its just like lemonade, in the same section of the freezer in the grocery store... with the juices cant miss it oh, and it doesnt have to be the expensive kind... just whatever one the store sells under its name is fine. with all that liquor in there, you cant taste much anyway

lots of places add beer to their margaritas its really good in there, trust me

we tend to freeze most of our juices and then you add three cans of water to the mix
