I just came back from .... seeing Hairspray on Broadway.
I had no idea what it was about or who was in it before I went, but I ened up liking it. Cool part was Tevin Campell was one of the main characters. Damn he got old! 
Boy could use some Proactiv too! Now I'm sleepy but hyper. 
How is everyone else doing tonight?  In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

How is everyone else doing tonight? LOVED it! if you are still in NY, give "the 25th annal putnam county spelling bee" a try, it's funny as hell. I LOVE SWEENEY TODD! light in the piazza is also very good, but a bit romantic and frothy. avoid color purple at all costs if you have read the book or seen the movie... absolute crap compared to the book and movie. lion king is also suprisingly good, i am a bit ashamed to admit.

That's playing at NJPAC... thinking about seeing it. robin givens is doing it on broadway at the moment. chicago has really turned into "the love boat" of broadway, where any star no matter how questionable their fame is (no, i don't mean robin) can be a broadway star. in the 7 months i have been in ny, i know brooke shields (ick), huey lewis, that older guy who was elaines boss on seinfeld, and a few wothers who i am forgetting have been in it.
