Do people stare at you? Im sick of people staring at me. Now mind you I don't want any social interaction of any kind, but for the last 2 months I have really been irritated by people looking at me or talking to me....(again it's probably just me being weird) I wanted to bust this dude in his mouth at Subway the other day when I was getting my food and he kept dogging me. But of course you look back and he turns his head....I need to get a shirt that informs people to leave me the F alone. Some random women who I work with who's side profession is professional club ho's talking to me....enough already...Is it just me? I normally ignore everyone, but I don't know of late it's getting ridiculous. Im like the Hulk...leave me alone I leave you alone life is good. All im saying is for me staring "hard" at someone without saying something/doing something seems like a quick way to get beat down...Im from the hood we didn't play that "staring" at folk crap growing up. Oh, you'd hate living here. People here stare all the time and never worry if you look at them and see them staring. They just carry on. I can understand it sometimes, I'm a foreigner, and if I go to the local market that's not something they see that often, but I'll get stared at in the shopping centre in the centre of town. It's very annoying. Little kids do it the most and I just try to get on with whatever I'm doing, but it can be unnerving. It's not like there aren't lots of foreigners all over Bangkok and even other parts of Thailand. | |

my worst problem in new york was people always coming up to me and asking me for directions. people were ALWAYS doing that to me, and when i lived there i worked at a very high-traffic customer service job, so the last thing i wanted in my free time was anyone coming up to me and asking me for ANYthing.
i don't get that in chicago, thank god. i do think there are a lot of gawkers, but screw 'em. they don't really bother me. i grew up with gawkers in indiana - nosy hausfraus at the grocery store and whatnot - i should thank the old biddies because they gave me an opportunity to perfect my evil eye deathstare dirty look. | |

People always feel they can stop me and ask me for directions, etc. Also, when I'm out shopping women will ask me my opinions on things...I must have a friendly face or something. | |

Sometimes they stop staring when you stare back at them. Sometimes you can do that over and over again and they still don't get they're staring.

i always feel stared at when i go home to Germany. for some reason, people feel entitled to give you a very judgmental once-over.
