I'm thinking about selling my warm and unwashed underwear on there.
I mean, if some perve wants to pay me 50 bucks for old underwear, why not?

Let's get back on topic people.

I'm a certified eBay addict. I have bought and sold just everything you could think of aside from food on there. It's simple to use, but you do have to wary of scammers. If you are purchasing a high priced item, I would recommend using the escrow service. It costs a bit more, but the added security is worth it.

I've sold things and bought from ebay.
I depends on what your buying, as some stuff is more susceptible to be fradlent. What is it your looking at? I'm excellent at detecting fake luxury goods.
And don't forget to look at the person's feedback.

Yes ~ the feedback is important ~ higher numbers of positive are the best. I also check out how many years a seller has been a member. I've made three of my all time favourite friends on there but there are some really strange people selling things. Read the description carefully. Ask the seller questions if you are unsure about anything. And,this is the hard part, don't get caught up in a have to have it bidding war. Nearly EVERYTHING comes back around for the price you want to pay if you're a bit patient. Have fun!!!

It's easy to use, but you just have to have your wits about you, when buying or selling actually. It's probably something that takes a couple of years to really know the ins and out of. Very useful though.

A tip passed onto me was to bid at the last minute so as not to bump the price up.

I bought a cool Appolonia 6 t-shirt on there.

I also know someone who bought a book for £0.60 and sold it for £60 on ebay.

Yeah thats a good tip.
I always do that. Those last seconds drive me crazy!I always check the counter to see if someone else is lurking.
I hate to lose auctions,so sometimes I use Buy it Now boxed

Buyers, try not to buy things from Ebay members outside of the site, for example using the Send Money function in Paypal. Buying a specific, numbered item on Ebay gives you much greater protection as far as being able to leave feedback is concerned should there be any problems with the item.

I bid that way, too. Sniping. smile

Buy It Now auctions can sometimes be REALLY good if the person seeling doesn't realize just how much their merchandise is worth. I got a 2.4GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor for only $45 on a Buy It Now auction. The auctions for the same item that ran to their conclusions without Buy It Now went for around $90. thumbs up!

impulsive negative left by buyer? give an instant negative and file for a mutual withdrawal. send a friendly, constructive e-mail to try to work things out and encourage them to complete the withdrawal with you if you make things right with the transaction.

need 10 feedback so that you can sell using 'Buy Now'? Buy g-mail invites for a cent until you have your 10 feedback. it's a bit cheeky, but sometimes you're just starting out and want to sell something using Buy Now.
