STEVE MARTIN as INSPECTEUR CLOUSEAU ?!

I've just read about it . Haven't seen the flic yet . But wonder if i will .
As much as i've enjoyed and laughed at the hilarious Steve-moments in movies like Bowfinger , My Blue Heaven , Roxanne , The Lonely Guy , etc .....
.....i'm shure they did their best with the new version , but how can you ever replace this .....

..... swine birds .....
..... Cato ? .....

..... for this ?!!!!!

Peter Sellers' typical acting is too unique for a remake or sequel ( imo ) .
They once tried it somewhere in the mid-80's with a Clark Kent-looking actor who should be the new Clouseau ... it just didn't work .... IRREPLACABLE

.

i agree.
I dont really think Steve Martin is all that funny, I like The Man with 2 Brains,Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Father of the Bride but i think he is crap in everything else he's done.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

peter sellers was a genius... and completely an act no one could follow, even though several (alan arkin, ted wass, roberto begnini, and now steve martin) have tried and all failed miserably.
