I only got Peewee 1&2. Not sure about the other box set. I recall it was supposed to come out as a special set with lots of extras. But I didn't see them plunking down the cash to release it twice. They shoulda waited as I don't see even the hard core buying it again...just for the extras.

I have been interested in the after school specials too. They just re-released them all as one big ol set in a BUS carrier.

My boss keeps buying me the latest Golden Girls dvd sets, every year for Christmas. I mean, I like the show and all, but they look really out of place in my DVD collection sitting on the shelf between Silent Night Deadly Night and Cannibal Ferrox.

Actually, I'm waiting for my mom to stop over someday and notice that and be like "what the hell?..are you gay???".

I was excited about "Roseanne" but one of the problems is that for the first season, they had the syndicated shows, which are shorter. This pissed off fans because in most, if not all cases, it's the originals that appear on the show (you'll also notice that the syndicated verisons reffered to her as Roseanne Arnold...even though he wasn't there, thankfully, for the very early seasons). She said, on Larry King, that people made her aware of the problem and she talked to the producers and they would correct it for the upcoming seasons...Problem is I only have Season one and am not thrilled with it.

It was corrected for season 2 which is out now and for seasons 3 and 4 (out in March and June respectively). Anchor Bay, who released the DVDs, responded quickly once they heard from the fans. I was looking forward to these for years, so I was thrilled to get it even knowing that beforehand.

Put these on DVD and I'll be happy...

Cop Rock...is another I doubt. It didn't go on for very long (did it even last a season?) If it went for a season and has a cult following, perhaps. If there is a devoted website for it...then perhaps. But I think this will never see the light of day again. It HAS to have had a stong following (regardless if it was good or not) to get this to DVD.

Evidence is in The Tick (w/patrick woburn) and Nowhere Man. Both of these were one season wonders. Each though had an audience. The Tick's audience was ticked that FOX pulled this show, as it was brilliant and funny. It was one of the first One Season run shows to come out. "Complete Season/Series" boxsets now had a chance to see the light of day. Nowhere Man as a Breakout hit on the very infant UPN. It was critially acclaimed and well acted etc etc. It was 24 before we had that show. Off the air for a decade...NOT in syndication as there were only 22 episodes. BUT has had a ferverent following for over a decade that would trade VHS tapes (I don't even think that it was released on VHS). Just recently did it get released...and since it's the only release it was going to get, we got all the goodies.

But it takes shows of that caliber to get a chance on DVD.

I was thinking the same thing. But you know a google search will reveal all. It appears it is infamous due to it's being a huge flop. It's also put out by Stephen Boccho who did the excellent Murder One. I could see this getting a release due to it's nolstagia factor...the fact that it was B-TV (hey bad shows need lovin too and are often more memorable/enjoyable than the "good tv" i.e.facts of life ). I could even see that if someone decided to Put out maybe a Boccho series this would get included. Esp as DVD's become able to hold more, we'll see entire seasons on on DVD.

Right now it's all about Interest & Who holds the rights. Series discs are trickier as they have to deal with Off season and that the fact they are hooking you to build your series set. Hence the reason for Dynasty second season 2 delay in release. It was a highly wanted show and they even had a mockumentory Sunday night TV movie on about it. The biggest issue was they relaesed only season 1...and the big draw was when Joan Collin joined in season 2. Many people, myself included held off on getting Season 1, to see if the producers were dedicated to releaseing all the seasons (It's a mixed hate love affair as they wait to see if we're dedicated enough to buy Season one and want season 2). So now we wait.

Silk Stalkings is on dvd. I used to watch this all the time. I think pretty much everything I enjoyed watching when I was younger is out now. I'll go broke trying to get everything though. There are some shows that I just can't watch anymore that I used to watch as a kid a lot.....like Designing Women. I watched D.S religiously as a kid, but now I can barely stand to watch it whenever it comes on.
