i'm kinda bitter over all of this. I should have won. Many of the Sisters and the people in the bar felt i should have won.
Two judges however didn't feel it was right for someone who identifies as a "boy" should have a Mr. Title. I was one ahead through the interview and the formal leather. We tied at Bar wear and he pulled ahead by 8points at mimial wear. The two judges who didn't want me to win scored me last in bar wear and mimial wear because my interview and formal scores from the other judges were so high that that would have been the only way for me to lose. The only difference is that gay men and women tend to be more open about the fact that they don't try to live up to some unobtanibale ideal. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence raised over a million dollars last year for various charities through out the world, and the LA boys of Leather that i proudly represent raised over 10000 dollars last year. When was the last time you did charity work? When was the last time you were involved in a group that visited people dying in a hospice? When was the last time you gave money to help others? When was the last time you could look beyond someones apperance and appricate them for whom they are? THANK GOD I WAS BORN GAY. I can be as outrageous as I want. I don't have to shy away from the color pink. I don't have to worry about the phrase "what are people going to think" And my hat goes off to straight people that live the same way. As long as we all don't hurt anyone then it's all good.
