weird days Do you know the feeling, when everything feels so weird and you just want everyone you like to put a hand on your shoulder? When you feel like dancing, crying, sleeping and yelling at the same time?
I've been working in a school for six months, replacing another teacher, at first full-time, and for the last two months only part-time. The way she always put it, I was pretty sure of the fact I could stay there until the end of the schoolyear, part-time that is. Yesterday this lady told me, in a very unrespectful way, that my last ten days at the school were starting. Apparently, I'll be without a job on March 10th. I felt bewildered, to say the least. Last week I have turned down another offer, because I was told I could stay there until the end of the year. In an unofficial way of course. Today I told my students that I would leave them soon. 90% of them reacted really great, telling me they would miss me and so on. At the end of the lesson, a girl came to tell me she and some class-mates have nominated me as 'the best teacher of Vlaanderen' (the north of Belgium), by sending a letter with their motivation to a national education-magazine. It was supposed to be a secret, but she wanted to tell me, because she was afraid I would never have known. That felt so good, especially because these are my first months as a teacher. It's been so difficult sometimes, but I guess I love to teach. I just hope I'll find another job soon, it won't be easy, but I truly hope it will work out soon. Just wanted to share this. So many emotions in two days.

Aksel and Phil are an unstoppable duo....here to protect those who need us. As a caveat i have asked him to stop wearing his underwear outside of his trousers it was putting off all the damsels in distress.

I'm very sorry to hear this, Marie. I've had a horrible day too and just want it to end. I have good hopes that you will find another, much better job soon though. Your passion will shine through and be appreciated by your future employers.

With all the problems you had at that school, I'd say it's a blessing in disguise. The kids appreciate you, and that's encouraging. You'll go on to a better school where you'll be appreciated by both faculty and students.
