The Elderly & The Lottery Does anyone else have any elderly people in their family that absoulutely live for the lottery? Do they call their friends and siblings as soon as the numbers are announced so they can compare what they got and to tell them that they didn't win?

I have an 89 yr. old nieghbor who played that recent humungus Indiana lottery. When I asked her why, she said that if she won, she'd be set for life.

My father plays the lottery all the time. I ask what go would it do him to win -Anyone ask him for some money he'll tell them to go to hell. He doesn't want to travel, he would give his family money to go anywhere without him. No need to have a bigger house. Won't buy high-tech stuff because he hasn't figured out the VCR yet. If I ask for a pair of shoes over $50 he'll have a heart attack. Basically we would all just sit around and wait for him to die to get our hands on the money. No More Haters on the Internet.

my dad is funny, I'd never have thought him the superstitious type, but if I get a good run of green lights, a parking spot out the front and whatever else he might think is lucky, he'll buy me a tattslotto ticket. He's only 61.
