milk contains milk apparently,, who knew?

New food labels for Tescos, A major supermarket chain are labelling their milk bottles with the warning "contains milk," and that bags of nuts "contains nuts."

http://www.manchesteronli..._nuts.html

"Tesco - which also warns shoppers that cream contains milk and that salted butter contains milk and salt - defended its decision, saying it wanted customers to have "all the possible information they should need."

I kinda hate to say it but I prefer the Darwinian approach.
Anyone dumb enough to eat eggs with an egg allergy not realising eggs "contain eggs" needs to be removed from this planet biggrin

I like to imagine that there is no such person, but I agree, if there is, then he/she must be working for Tescos.

Labels should be clearly labelled (erm..I should work for tescos too) But theres no need to state it so obviously. why not label it with a puzzle like? My first is in Mother but not in brother, my second is in tilk, but also in silk and my third is in plilk but not in dilk.

I think the label should just say "label," you know, so people know it's a label.

true. i think such obvious labels are silly but sometimes people will sue just to sue. remember that old lady who sued mcdonalds because she spilled her hot coffee on herself? Of course your ass is gonna get burned if you spill hot coffee on yourself but she sued anyway and she won. disbelief there's a warning on my peanutbutter jar that says, 'Warning: contains nuts' 'cause you never know who the idiots are.

I remember first seeing obvious labels like this maybe five years ago or so. It seems like since food allergies have become much more serious, these labels have become more popular.

You should label your hair "hair" so you don't think it's a giant bug when you are half asleep.
