right now i am searching beach houses to rent for a week ... take the kids and their friends for spring break

that will be the big celebration

i also plan on the date ( 10th ) to have some alone time as i always do to reflect on the growth of my last yr... to dream of what may come in the comming yr and to just simply enjoy my own company

That is needy. Expecting and getting pissed off that you did not get anything is needy behavior. Everyone talks about how shallow i am but i don't get pissed off if i don't get presents or cards. I am used to it but i don't expect it and get pissed off if i don't get it. That's needy and shallow. And more than one woman here seems to have that attitude and yet they call me shallow. Hmmmmm. Hypocrite alert.

I have 3 cousins that are getting married this year. I will have plans with friends those days.

They don't know i am not attending yet. This is not going to be pretty. But i am not going. I think marriage is a joke. I think the whole ceremony with the stupid outfits is a joke and i am not going to participate. For those reasons and because i would be a freaking hypocrite if i did attend. They know my feelings on marriage and the whole deal so it may not be a shock or anything.

But i don't believe in marriage. I am not going to support something that i don't believe in. And again i would be a hypocrite if I attended. I hate the whole idea and yet I go? Just not right. Besides i don't think they would want someone there who is miserable and does not want to be there. I think it's best for everyone if i go out and have fun instead. And to top it off i hate wearing a suit.

you are probably right. when I got married I really didn't care if someone else was having a good time or not...just the two of us, and I certainly didn't notice if someone was being a hypocrite or hated wearing a suit....but I was delighted to see folks there, that they took the time to be there on such an important day, because whether they agreed or not they put THEIR FEELINGS ASIDE and did it because they cared about me, or him, or both of us.
