Isn't it strange watching your parents become your grandparents? As my mother is getting older, I see her becoming her mother and I am now the age I remember my mother when I was a child. It's really strange watching as your mother becomes what you remember your grandmother to be Anybody else experiencing this? 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I'm sorry honey. I wasn't thinking that deeply, just the aging process. Although I'll one day have to deal with stuff like that too ![]() 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Not at all. Can't wait. She's going right in a home where they shoot that shit up her arm and she forgets who I am. She said that she wants to live with me in my mansion when she gets old. And I said "Oh, so you want to live with me and my husband?" and she looked at me like " One of Dansa's org hornies Supa is my gay messiah and he eats homeless dandruff sammitches on the bus. If you want a good idea of what your girlfriend or wife is gonna like when she is older is to look at her mom. Then decide for yourself.

I'm about 60 mins away from see my extended family for the first time in 4 years. The very old and very young will have changed so much during this time. Should be a nice slap in the face!
PS- thank god I'm not aging! Socks still got butt like a leather seat...

We're not talking about other girls mothers, we're talking about our own let's not forget - if you look at a man's (and i'm using this term loosely when talking about Spats) relationship with his mother, you can get an idea about how he'll treat the women in his life...

PS- thank god I'm not aging! PLEASE. Your profile here says you're "forever 29" and your Myspace profile says "32" which I KNOW is a lie. So just how fucking old are you? It's even stranger when you walk in on your parents when they're trying to become parents again.

My folks have made the transition seamlessly. They have suddenly in the space of just under 4 years, got themselves 4 grandkids. They still act very young and don't seem that different YET!

Well my mom is waaaaayyy young at heart. She and I giggle like little girls over all kinds of stuff and she'll be 60 next year. But it's just I remember my grandmother at this age and slowly but surely she is looking like her own mother. I mean it's not bad, it's just a trip because that is my mom and yet she reminds me so much of my grandmother. It's a mind trip 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I agree, it's very unsettling 2 watch your parents bcome "old people". My Dad came out 2 see me a few years ago. Though we're in regular contact, I hadn't seen him in a long time. He looked really old. He caught me staring at him over dinner and said "I look old, huh?" I lied and said "no", but that's xactly what I was thinking. I remember my grandmother as always being fit and healthy (still is even at 91!) and my mum looks to be be following suit.

My parents haven't slowed down all that much yet but many of their friends have. Some of them have retired early, others have sold their house and moved to an apartment so they can get some cash to spend on their "last trips". One of my best friends' parents, who are around 60, recently bought a new car and wanted "a sturdy and reliable one since it will be the last car they ever buy".
