Fun thing is, I actually GOT a collection of handpuppets. When I was young, my father used to run the neighbourhood centre and every half year the most famous handpuppet players in The Netherlands would perform there.
They used to bring some old dolls so I could play along during rehearsels. Up til I was 13 I wanted to be a handpuppet player. But the fascination is still there; I absolutely adore their work. Jim Henson is still a hero to me and so are all the peeps he worked with...

It's like the Harry Potter books. I've never read any and I probably never will. I haven't read a book in years as I haven't got the time and I fail to see how other people find the time to indulge in their kids-book fetish. Then there's the things which I have experienced and have just left me cold... On TV, that would be Lost, Desperate Housewives, 24, Pop Idol and many other shows... Even old stuff like Monty Python. Monty fucking Python. How is it funny? I have an above-average IQ but when you tell people that you don't find it funny, they all reply with the pat answer, "Oh, you just don't get it". Yes, I get it but it's not fucking funny. Then there's music... Pink Floyd with their ten-minute guitar solos; Jimi Hendrix with his squealing tones; Gangsta Rap - what's all that about??? And stupid crazes. What was last year's stupid craze in the U.K.? Sudoku. I'm unsure how you even pronounce it... Pseudo-cue?... Why would anybody waste their time trying to add-up numbers in boxes? Pay me at least double the minimum wage and I may have a go, but until then, I have more important things to do. You need to relax a little Doesn't mean you have to join a hype, but find more useless thing to do (like posting on the org for instance ), just for the fun off it, you'll feel good BTW one of my favorite time spend is reading children's story books (like HP which became a hype because the books are good and fun to read for all ages)

Hehehe
I refuse to defend myself for liking something loads of other people like as well. Most 'hyped' stuff gets hyped because there is reason to. No one should feel definciant just cuz you don't. Nor will I for 'buying into' the hype. I am one of those person that propelled Harry Potter into mega stardom by hyping it to my friends after the first book. I love the hype; the movies are grand and after the sixth book (I was disappointed with four and five) I am all excited again for the seventh! I hope he dies! Just cuz it would be a strong story, hehehe. Not outa spite.
