Any diets working yet?

I assume some people started dieting in January so I'm just curious to see if any of them are working. What's your secret? Any tips? I'm looking to get started but have no clue how. Thanks! Happy Valentine's Day!!

I've lost 13 pounds so far (over the last 6 weeks). smile

No secret really, I'm just counting calories and working out. And twice a week I allow myself to 'cheat' so I don't feel like I never ever get to eat the things I want. It's going well so far.

Just remember that your overall body weight is governed by one simple equation:

Energy in (calories consumed) - Energy out (calories used) = energy stored (fat)

Eat less fat and sugar and exercise more it is absolutely guaranteed to make you lose weight.

I really didn't start in January, but since January, I have lost 12 lbs! woot!
No secret, I just don't allow myself to have "forbidden foods" (except for fried twinkies redface). I set myself up with cheat days and it's a great incentive nod. Plus, I eat out of bowls and not huge plates like I did before. Along with drinking a ton of water and getting in some exercise I think I'm gonna make it!
Shake....shake, shake, shake.

I've lost 22 lbs since Jan 3 going about it the same way that
everyone else is...cutting down on calorie intake, eating more
fruits and veggies, drinking plenty of water, cut my soda down
to almost nothing, and excercise 2-3 times a week.

Of course, knowing that I was going to go on this diet, I ate up
everything in sight during Nov-Dec months. I balloned to 233 and
today I weighed in at 210.

I don't consider this a "diet" however, I needed to change my
eating habits. I think I am on the right road.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

nod when i lived in NYC i was the skinniest i had ever been and that was pretty much because i was one broke ass bitch who ate eggs and macaroni every day.

Okay, it wasn;t that bad, but I wasn't eating as much. Then I went back to school and now my parents foot the food bill. My new year's diet is working well though but that's more to do with the exercise than the food.
